Dr Elizabeth Wong is an established and highly regarded physician and geriatrician in Western Australia. She obtained her basic medical degree from the reputable National University of Singapore and proceeded to work at various tertiary hospitals in Singapore and New South Wales. She relocated to Perth in 2005 and underwent her basic physician and specialist training at various sites including Royal Perth, Sir Charles Gairdner, and Fremantle Hospitals. She was conferred a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2011.

Dr Wong embarked on a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Western Australia under the mentorship of Professor Leon Flicker, a recipient of the Honorable Officer of the Order of Australia for contributions to Geriatric Medicine. She conducted extensive research using data from the largest longitudinal cohort study in Australia, the Health In Men Study (HIMS), resulting in several high-impact journal publications and the completion of her thesis in 2015. This coincided with the joyful birth of her firstborn and a very fulfilling motherhood journey.

In 2012, Dr Wong established a specialised Orthogeriatric unit at Fremantle Hospital with focus on evidence-based and multidisciplinary care for older adults with orthopaedic conditions. In 2015, she provided clinical leadership in the development of the inaugural Geriatric Perioperative Service, leading to enhanced surgical outcomes for older patients. In 2017, she played a critical role in strategic planning and implementation of a Telegeriatric Service via the WA Country Health Service - this successfully improved access to specialised geriatric care across the Midwest, Goldfields and Pilbara regions. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, she was an integral member of the specialised Geriatric Advice Service Taskforce for Residential Care, contributing to innovative strategies within the WA Department of Health.

Dr Wong strongly believes in sharing her knowledge and contributing effectively to the community. She is an appointed Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at a local medical university. She currently serves as physicians' representation in clinical review, credentialling, and national advisory committees within major private healthcare organisations. She had previous chairing and advisory roles in state specialist training, research, ethics, quality and safety, as well as operational working groups in both public service and private practice.

Dr Wong is fully dedicated to striving for the best quality care for her patients in private practice.
